Feijoa Orchard

In November/December the Orchard shows an abundance of flowers

The flowers will be pollinated by birds rather than bees. So one can observe a lot of air traffic during this period! In December and January, the fruit starts to develop. Meanwhile, biological inoculants and nutrients are introduced to maintain and nourish the soil and its ecosystem.

From mid-March to mid-June is the harvest season. This is the time we employ temporary staff to help pick and pack the Feijoas. Later on, the orchard will be expertly pruned to prepare the trees for the next season and another high yield of good quality fruit.
